Upload a GPX, TCX or FIT route. The tool reads the course for road racing: laps, climbs, wind, corners, fuelling, effort, the finish, and where the race is likely to be decided.
The route
GPX and TCX are the most reliable. FIT support is basic and reads standard record messages with position and altitude.
Drop GPX, TCX or FIT hereor tap to choose. Analysis runs in the browser. The map uses OpenStreetMap. Weather uses the route midpoint only when requested.
Race format and distance
Enter what you know. If the file is one lap, say how many laps, or just give the total race distance and the tool works out the effective laps from the circuit length.
Drag the finish flag on the map, or type a finish km. Total race distance covers partial final laps and finishes away from the lap line.
Race HQ optional
For when sign-on is away from the circuit. Enter the HQ postcode and tap Find, or use Click map to set HQ below the map after analysing the route. It shows on the map alongside the circuit. This is a logistics marker only and does not change the race distance or where features sit.
UK postcodes only. Outside the UK, use Click map to set HQ instead.
Conditions
Set wind here, or fetch a forecast for the route midpoint. Wind is projected onto each road segment, and crosswind strength is banded by its actual side component.
Upload a route first, then fetch weather.
Rider and race
These fields shape the written race notes. The route analysis itself is based on the uploaded file.

Drag the finish flag along the route to move it. HQ can sit anywhere, on or off the circuit.

Race Recon estimates course demands from GPS and elevation data. Wind, speed and effort figures are planning estimates, not measurements. Use it as a coaching and preparation tool, not as a substitute for course inspection, commissaire instructions or local road conditions.
